Projects

1. Archive. We aim to ensure that our archived projects are preserved for the long-term, adapting to evolving technologies and ensuring their continued relevance for centuries to come.

  • We will have projects copyrighted to recognize their proprietary nature, protect their integrity, and ensure proper attribution.
  • The content will continue to be available to the public free of charge.
  • Projects are selected by invitation, request, or nomination.
  • Selections are made based on votes by the board, advisors, and/or members, as well as funding requirements and technical capacity.

2. Promotion. We promote our Collective and its projects through our network, social media, other platforms, and different venues. Some digital projects have received more attention than others. By presenting projects together, we foster cross-audience discovery, expanding each project’s reach and impact.

3. Search. We will develop a robust search feature that allows users to explore individual projects or search through the entire collection, highlighting how projects are interconnected.

4. Expansion. Some projects may be expanded. With a creator’s consent, we can add additional content directly to a project while preserving its original integrity, or alternatively, include relevant content as an addendum.

5. Evaluation. We document the cultural influence of each project, creating an ongoing record of news articles, journal articles, analyses, and other responses. We may also conduct or facilitate our own evaluations.

6. Internships. In partnership with academic institutions, archives, libraries, museums, foundations, and other organizations, we will offer internship opportunities for students to evaluate and/or contribute to select projects, with the consent of their creators.

7. Hosting. We will provide hosting services for creators, managing technology, marketing, and copyright, thereby allowing creators to focus on content. This approach maximizes resources and gives creators access to a support system while maintaining control over their projects.

8. Directory. Our directory lists unique, relevant digital projects not yet archived, helping people discover other exceptional projects that advance the field.

9. Incubator. With sufficient funding, we plan to serve as an incubator for innovative digital projects.

10. Physical Collection. In addition to digital projects, we collect physical items. Our long-term goal is to raise funds for a community center and library where these items and digital projects can be experienced and shared with the public.
